The group divides, attempting to act on the information provided by the mysterious information broker Marcum. The halfling's key was just the beginning.
Word in Dog's Teeth is a dwarf named Stigion has been throwing his weight around. In fact, it's this very dwarf who originally consigned the services of Linkah and his brethren to bring back the oddly clockwork key.
Then there is the connection to Farn's Tannery where in the Stag Heralds hold the kidnapped members of Lavios Daleborn's village. Stigion and his confederates walking among a gang of slavers. Why?
The party is intent on answers. Lavios, Karl and Drogan head into the tunnels beneath Dog's Teeth in the hopes of finding more information on this dwarf Stigion...perhaps take a chance on freeing the imprisoned villagers. In the tunnels they uncover a darker secret. A bargain of unimaginable evil struck between a ghastly denizen of the tunnels and Stigion that pits the adventurers against vile predators and barbarian dwarves.
Meanwhile, Nosatrub and Beckett head into the Admiral's Fen to locate a crooked Port Authority official named Hektor Lenz. The man is identified by Marcum as providing the Stag Heralds with a ship on which to ferry the captured villagers to Absalom. Once there, they would be most likely sold on the open markets in Misery Row. Expecting a clear picture of the evil willing to sell out innocent people, Nosa and Beckett find a man bound in addiction and a protector of noble intentions. Even more, they may have stumbled upon a new ally in their mission.
The picture broadens, broad strokes becoming finer details that call to the separate pasts of the adventurers. Will they be able to conquer their demons in order to face the ones they've uncovered?
